Jeremy has an increasing reputation as an able and effective arbitrator and adjudicator.
Recent appointments as arbitrator include ICC arbitration in Seoul about construction project in Korea; LCIA arbitration about commercial transaction in the Middle East; and DIFC-LCIA arbitration about major construction project in Dubai. He has also sat on Dispute Boards on various energy projects.
He has many years’ experience as counsel in a wide range of commercial disputes, with particular focus on construction & engineering, energy, shipbuilding, insurance and professional liability. These have included many international arbitrations; e.g. about high-value shipbuilding in China; dredging by Chinese contractor; and renovation of historic head office building in Shanghai.
He is familiar with the major international arbitration institutions and rules; and has been appointed as arbitrator by ICC, LCIA, DIAC, and other institutions.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He is on HKIAC’s list of arbitrators; AIAC and ADGMAC arbitrator panels; and CRCICA adjudicator panel. He is a member of the Expert Advisory Committee of the Permanent Forum of China Construction Law. He is also a member of HKIAC and LCIA Users’ Councils; Society of Construction Law (Hong Kong, Gulf, and UK); DRBF (Dispute Resolution Board Foundation); and IPBA.
